“Par” is an imaginary metric I’ve devised to communicate a spectrum of expected scores in various languages. The idea is that I am not the best golfer, and if I commit to golfing my first idea for solving a challenge in a given language, that resembles some “baseline” expectation for that and similar languages. By applying this process to a few different languages, and with some help from friends, I produce the Par graph that can be found at the bottom of each challenge page.
